Matter

With its serious graphics, this roundel is intended to be humorous. Created in the context of the 2024 reform of the advancement of non-commissioned soldiers, within the operational reserve of the National Gendarmerie, modifying the length of seniority required for rank advancements, it plays on the instituted update. It expresses through the play on the word "2SPI" the speed of the evolution of ranks, from the entry of a reservist as a non-commissioned soldier to his promotion to the non-commissioned officer corps.

Description

The buckle is encircled by the regular inscriptions "Gendarmerie Nationale", two golden fleur-de-lis emblematic of France and the words "Promotion 2SPI 2024", on a dark background. In the center, a clock symbolizes the time and speed of the grade passages, indicated by the hands of the clock. In its center, a grenade, symbol of the Gendarmerie Nationale, armed with the number 78, department for which the buckle was originally created.
